18V circular saws
Every saw on this list is brushless and cuts over 55 mm at 90°, enough for planks and sheet material. My pick: the Einhell TP-CS 18/190, light, with a 190 mm blade and guide-rail compatible.

A circular saw cuts sheets, planks and beams in a straight line. With a guide rail, it makes almost joinery-quality cuts.
It’s one of the hungriest tools for batteries: use 4 or 5 Ah ones.
What to look for before you buy
- Cutting depth at 90°: 55 mm is enough for planks; over 60 mm for beams.
- Guide-rail compatible if you want clean cuts in sheet material.
- Brushless: on saws it makes a big difference to runtime.
- Weight: with a battery, they’re all around 3-4 kg.

The pros and cons summarise opinions that come up again and again in the reviews and forums linked in the sources. I haven’t tested these tools in person.
What about Milwaukee?
I don’t include it with an Amazon link: its extended guarantee only covers purchases from an authorised distributor. If you already have M18 batteries, look for this model with the official dealer locator.
My pick
Einhell TP-CS 18/190 if you want the best capacity for its weight. On other platforms, the one for your battery: all five do the job.
