Which batteries fit and which don’t
- Every Power X-Change battery fits every tool and garden machine on the platform.
- The 36V machines don’t use a special battery: they take two 18V ones.
- Fast charging (Boost mode) wears the battery more, according to Einhell itself.
What people like most
- Very good value for money
- The same battery for workshop and garden
- Many tools are sold “body only”, cheaper, so you can add to your kit
What people criticise most
- More plastic and less robust than the trade brands
- Power-hungry tools need a second battery
- The guarantee doesn’t cover commercial use, except on the Professional range
I summarise opinions that come up again and again in forums and reviews, linked in the sources. I haven’t tested these tools in person.
Who it’s for
Good fit: A home with a garden and weekend DIY, on a tight budget.
Not a good fit: Anyone working on site every day or mowing a big garden every week.
